Eligibility Criteria of NMMS Exam
Class: Students who are studying in class VIII are eligible for the NMMS exam.
School: Only the students of Government and Provincialised schools under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam are eligible to get the scholarship. Students from Private schools, JNVs and KVs may appear in the examination, but they will not be selected for the scholarship.
Scholarship Details of NMMS Scheme
Students who are found qualified in the NMMS exam will get a scholarship of Rs.12,000/- per year during classes IX, X, XI and XII. Note that the income of the parents of the student should not exceed 3.5 lakhs per annum as per the norms of the Ministry of Education to avail the scholarship benefits.
