Intelligence Bureau, India has publised an official notification regarding the recruitment of 677 posts of Security Assistant/Motor Transport (SA/MT) and Multi-Tasking Staff/General (MTS/Gen) in the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux, (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India. Candidates who are Eligible and interested candidates will be able to submit their applications on the official web portal of the Intelligence Bureau.

Exam Centers in Assam: Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar and Tezpur.
1. Security Assistant/Motor Transport
No of Posts: 362 Posts
- Guwahati: 10 Posts
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Other Qualification: The candidate should possess a valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by a competent authority. Additionally, the candidate must have knowledge of Motor Mechanism, allowing them to address minor defects in the vehicle. Moreover, the candidate should have at least one year of driving experience with a Motor Car after obtaining a valid driving license.
Desirable Qualification: Possession of a valid driving license for a Motorcycle issued by the competent authority.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be more than 27 years as of 13th November 2023.
Pay Scale: Level-3 (Rs.21,700-69,100) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Government allowances.
2. Multi-Tasking Staff/General
No of Posts: 315 Posts
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should be between 18 years to 25 years as of 13th November 2023.
Pay Scale: Level-1 (Rs.18,000-56,900) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Government allowances.
Other Details of IB Recruitment
Domicile: Applicants must be in the domicile of the state where he/she wants to apply.
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. For more details, check the official notification.
